Minutes and accounts of the commissioners appointed by the act of February 20, 1864, for the relief of families of soldiers living in the area under the enemy's control, March 2, 1864-April 1, 1865.

These records contain a) county, number of soldiers, rate of apportionment, bond executed, order on auditor given, and the name of agent; b) certificates in lieu of bonds delivered to the banks, name of bank, amount, date of certificate, and coupon bonds delivered; c) list of orders for amounts apportioned to the various counties; d) copy of letter, September 2, 1864, from the second auditor's office to the agent for Loudoun County.
